Optimite Energy, on one page.

India is putting electric vehicles on the road by the million every year, registered recyclers want their batteries, and the collection layer in between is informal, cash-driven and undocumented. Optimite Energy is building that layer properly, one corridor at a time.

Why now

  • 25,50,865 electric vehicles sold in India in FY 2025-26, each one running on a battery pack that wears out. (EVreporter, from Vahan registration data (May 2026))
  • Critical Lithium, cobalt, nickel and graphite are among the 30 minerals India's Ministry of Mines lists as critical for the country. (Ministry of Mines, Thirty Critical Minerals List (PIB, July 2023))
  • Mandatory producer responsibility for electric vehicle batteries under the Battery Waste Management Rules, 2022, with targets set by chemistry, Li-ion included. (MoEFCC notification S.O. 3984(E), via CPCB)

The model

  1. Buy. End-of-life batteries from fleets, yards, shops and dealers, at rates quoted upfront and paid the same day.
  2. Consolidate. Every pack stickered and weighed, sorted by chemistry and condition, and sealed into documented lots.
  3. Sell. Lots go to CPCB-registered recyclers at an agreed rate per kilogram.

The margin is the difference between what a battery is worth at the seller's door and what a sorted, documented lot is worth at a recycler's gate.

Why this corridor

Western UP and the NCR carry one of India's densest end-of-life battery streams, and it is the geography our team knows. Density is what makes route economics work in collection.

Our first yard: Ghaziabad · Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Delhi NCR, Hapur, Meerut, Bulandshahr, Baghpat, Muzaffarnagar

What compounds

Every pack carries its source, weight and custody history from pickup to gate. Recyclers buy on it, and it is exactly what producers need to evidence collection under the Battery Waste Management Rules.
